ANSUMANA KOMBA GHEMBO

Before meeting Ansumana and after the team researched his work and story

before moving on i made a style guide with key words and things that represented Ansumanas brand. this Inspired us to go into the stylescapes and choose to try and play off his colorful work and wide use of African patterns.

Initially he chose my bottom one but we eventually moved to another one made by Ashton Rider with adapted colors from mine and his home country of Ceir Leon

After this we went into logo ideation and i pulled from african culture like adrinka symbols that have meaning behind them and represnet different things and patterns and this went on for some time.

These sketches turned into many many many logo iterations

Then stated to narrow things down

then my final logo that Ansumana liked

My idea for this was to keep the colors that fit his personality and brand and having a crown/hat to represent him if he would've stayed in africa he would've been a chief so i wanted this to make him and his customers who wore his garments feel like royalty.

but he didn't just like mine he also liked 3 others so we moved into a more concise direction trying to mix the logos together.

But in the end we finally came to a logo which was Graysons + Dakotas font

Then it was moving on to business cards and seeing what he would pick and enjoy.

these were mine

and then these became my final itterations of the Business Cards

BLACK Monarch

With Black Monarch I made the brand brief that we would draw inspiration from and pull our keywords and ideas from

Springing off of this we went into stylescapes and i chose to play with texture and the themes of the wood, the journey Armondo has taken and the Monarch Butterflies that represented the brand

final

After that I was apart of the motion design team so I began to sketch ideas and try and come up with how I wanted it to play and show

Then it was time to do a lot of variations on speed, timing and opening

Then it came to two different versions which became the finals

Next was social media which i had many iterations for and came up with the idea for doing an Instagram carousel type post because of the company’s linear products. Also worked on pull banners and Facebook headers.

But then we came to the top 4 Instagram posts and Armondo liked Chester and Ian's Facebook banner and pull banners
